A tag is a keyword that you can add to your product, like a marker, that will allow you to organize your products in your store.
You can add several tags to a product. They will allow you to easily search your products in your back office. Thanks to them, you can also customize the display of your products in your app:
- by filtering the product list widgets in your home
- by using tags to filter the additional products to display in your product sheets
Tags are also used to display the results of the search section of your store.
How to choose your tags?
For the choice of your tags, it depends on your products, and the use you want to make of your tags. We can imagine tags according to the characteristics of your products (colors, materials, etc). The tags can in fact represent a sort of secondary collection. For example, in the case of a clothing store, a brown wool turtleneck sweater will be listed in the "Clothing" collection; "Sweater" collection. We will associate the tags "turtleneck", "brown", "wool".
So, if we want to display on our home all our wool items, we will just have to filter the display of products containing the tag "wool".
In the same way, our sweater could be displayed as a complementary product under a pair of brown pants.
