The map section can be very useful for many types of apps. You can add one or more map sections, and create categories to sort your locations within each section. Here are some examples of how you can use this section.

A map for a school campus

The Paraigua College app is intended for its students but also for parents and teachers. The college is organized in several buildings. It was therefore useful for newcomers to the college to be able to quickly identify these places at a glance and to be able to visualize an itinerary to easily get to each place.

4 locations have been created, and are presented first in a list. The map view allows to see all the points and the distance between them. By clicking on each point the user can have a summary of the location, and access to its detail page. 
Finally on the detail page, the route button is the major feature; also a text description of the place and an image embellish the description.

A map for a company

Dali Corp is a US based company with offices in different cities. The company culture is very important for its managers and it was important to communicate on and between the different offices. That's why a map section was added to the company's app to present the 3 different offices.
Just like Paraigua College, the locations are presented first in a list, and the map is accessible via the button on the bottom right of the screen.

Here, the details of the points are a little more complete with the addition of photos to describe the office and its atmosphere. The directions button is present under the pictures. 

Maps for a travel guide

Now we come to an app where the map section is the heart. The Portland application is an app intended to help you discover the city of the same name. Here several map sections have been created to present different places in the city according to their type.

In the details of the points, we find a description of each location, with photos if necessary. Here too we have highlighted the directions button, as well as an external link to the websites of each place, if they have one.
